This is because we also strive to provide customized solutions in the field of hybrid and electric drives that are tailored to the needs of owners and shipyards. To achieve this goal, Hybrid Architect by VULKAN (today Hybrid and Electric Drive Solutions) was founded in 2021 with a small team of mechanical and electrical engineers who have deepened their expertise in hybrid and electric propulsion systems by developing several projects with different hybrid architectures.
This has been our demand on ourselves since the beginning of our foundation in 1889. Since then, we have been more than just coupling supplier. This is even more true for the design of hybrid and electric drives. There is no single formula, but a variety of solutions, adapted to individual customer requirements and the respective ship types.
